If you follow me on Pinterest, you will realise that I am quite interested in Shibori – the Japanese way of dyeing cloth.
This past weekend I tried some of the techniques out on a few vintage cloths and new dish towels. It was a good learning experience and I am looking forward to improving my skills the next time round.

Dishcloths and worn vintage table linen make good materials for experimenting with tie dye techniques. Their small size makes them easy to work with and the cotton fabric absorbs the dye well.
