DIY Christmas Angel: A Sustainable Christmas Craft
The festive season is a time for joy, creativity, and sustainability! If you love handmade decorations with a personal touch, our handcrafted angel decoration is the perfect project for you. Interestingly, this ornament is created using recycled Christmas cracker paper and wooden beads. It is a delightful way to upcycle festive materials while adding a touch of nostalgic elegance to your holiday décor.
Meaningful Holiday Craft
This DIY Christmas Angel is a simple yet beautiful ornament. Use it for: hanging on a Christmas tree, adorning a door knob, or gifting to loved ones. By using recycled Christmas cracker paper, you can give a second life to materials that would otherwise go to waste, making this a truly eco-friendly craft. The combination of paper and natural wooden beads creates a warm design that complements both traditional and modern holiday themes.

What You’ll Need
- Recycled Christmas cracker paper. Remeber to save these after your Chrismtas Celebrations. Thin card, or firm paper can also be used
- Wooden beads (various sizes) – I used a 15mm round bead for the head, a 10mm round bead for the neck and a 13mm flat rondelle or spacer bead for the halo.
- Heavy duty cotton thread or thin string for threading
- Decorative thin cord for hanging
- Basic stationery supplies – Scissors, ruler, wood glue
- A sewing needle
