by freshlyfound | Jun 8, 2018 | DIY, Fabric and textiles, recycled, recycled clothing, tutorial, wedding

This is the ideal handcraft to preserve the essence of sentimental embroidered family heirlooms.  The table cloth with a mould stain, or frayed serviettes make ideal material. If you’re clearing out and nobody wants Granny’s linen – why not make each...

My passion for collecting saris is no secret.  I have a huge collection, neatly coiled into shelves in my studio.  I have used saris to make bags, to create furoshiki wrapping, to make necklaces and brooches, tablecloths, cushion covers (blue cushions above),...

About Me

ABOUT ME --- I have a strong sense that I was MADE to MAKE, and love passing that Maker passion on. It all started in 2007 with the Freshly Found Brand. I designed and co-ordinated the making of Freshly Found products, sent them around the world, supplied private and corporate customers, and took them to markets and the Design Indaba. As Freshly Found has evolved, it has transitioned into an inspirational and informative space. While I no longer accept orders, the older blog posts remain as a gallery of memories of the products I once crafted. Freshly Found is a journal where I record my creative endeavours and hope to inspire others to live more creative lives. --- Denise Kiggan
